A California psychiatric clinic.
Glasshouse is being established in the San Francisco Bay Area to offer considered psychiatric care, by appointment, for adults.
Services and intake will open in stages. For physician referrals or professional inquiries during this period, please write to the address below. New-patient inquiries are not yet open.
Treatment
Ketamine for treatment-resistant depression.
Ketamine is a medication used off-label for adults with treatment-resistant depression and related mood conditions. It is not approved by the FDA for psychiatric use. Glasshouse provides ketamine care in office, in Dublin, California. Every course begins with a written treatment plan, informed consent that addresses off-label use and known risks, and ongoing safety monitoring.
Spravato (intranasal esketamine), an FDA-approved formulation for treatment-resistant depression, is not part of the initial offering and may be added later.
Eligibility
Who it may be appropriate for.
Eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis after a psychiatric evaluation. Ketamine care may be an option for:
- Adults with major depression who have not responded adequately to prior pharmacologic and psychotherapeutic care.
- Adults with chronic suicidal ideation receiving specialist care.
- Adults with PTSD or treatment-resistant anxiety who have completed a course of conventional care.
Ketamine is not offered to patients with active substance use disorders, untreated psychotic disorders, uncontrolled hypertension, or specific cardiovascular conditions. Pregnancy and concurrent medications may also affect eligibility.
Process
How care works.
- Inquiry. Send a message to the address below. New-patient intake is not yet open; this will change once the practice has formally opened.
- In-person evaluation. Federal regulations require an in-person clinical visit before any controlled-substance prescription, including ketamine. The evaluation takes place in Dublin and includes review of medical history, current medications, and prior care.
- Treatment plan. If ketamine care is appropriate, a written plan is provided, including session count, schedule, and a good-faith cost estimate, in compliance with the federal No Surprises Act.
- Induction. A short course of in-office sessions, scheduled over a few weeks.
- Maintenance. Individualized based on response and clinical judgment.
Sessions
In the office.
Sessions take place in the Dublin office. A clinician is present throughout. Vital signs are monitored. Patients are required to arrange transportation: a driver brings the patient and remains available for discharge. Each session ends with structured recovery time and clinical documentation before the patient is released to the driver.
Glasshouse does not currently offer at-home or unsupervised ketamine.
Cost
Cost and payment.
Glasshouse is a cash-pay practice. We do not bill commercial insurance or Medicare for ketamine care at this stage. A written good-faith cost estimate is provided before any course of care, per the No Surprises Act. Patients may seek out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance carrier; we provide the documentation but make no representation about coverage.
